I second octoberrust's suggestion of eBay. I have gone through 5 double strollers since I had my twins (I walk and run everywhere and so I wear them out very quickly) and I've bought all but one of them on eBay because the patterns I really like sell out very quickly. You'll likely get a better deal, too, even with the big shipping you'd pay for such a heavy item. My favourite stroller was an online-only edition of a Graco stroller that normally sold for 210 plus shipping. I got it for 150, including shipping, on eBay.

I think I let my kids watch more television than I ever planned as well, so I understand the guilt you feel. I think that if the time you spend with her is quality and you use it as a tool (my girls knew their alphabet when they were 18 months old because of Sesame Street!), it can actually be a good thing for learning. As long as she's not sitting there watching it 9 hours a day, I think you're okay. As for the heat, I dunno. I hate the cold, and get excited when it's warm again--I'd rather sweat than shiver, so I'm shitty for advice in that aspect.

Well I dont see anything wrong with letting her watch those shows sometimes, if it helps you to get stuff done you need to get done.
I dont think you should home school her, most people I know how were home schooled had trouble adjusting to the real world when they got out, school helps kids learn how to be social, I hated school but I guess it helped me in the long run.
Take her out side and have a can of wasp killer on hand at all time.
