i went to the zoo yesterday. it was later in the day so there weren't a lot of people around. it was really cool just wandering around the park, holding hands with my new girl, getting all silly over the cute baby animals. bought one of those disposable cameras and took lots of pictures of the wallabies (sp?), the big kitties and especially the donkeys. i love seeing the little animals, although it does make me sad to see them all caged up. this zoo has a lot of space for most of them, but it's still seems really evil to put them on display like that. i'm sure i wouldn't like it all that much.
there were some really cute little monkeys, and this super awesome turtle thing. i can't wait to develop the pictures. we even got kisses from this little goat-like deer baby. i hope it didn't have sars. it was a really nice afternoon, after which we went out to dinner at this fifties style diner. it was a cool place, and there were tonnes of harley bikers there with their biker bitches. i was a little disappointed though because all the girls that worked there were just wearing plain t-shirts and pants when they could've been dressed-up retro to match the theme of the restaurant. that would've been even cooler. but it was good food and it was a really good day off.

so, what's your favourite animal at the zoo?
i think mine is any of the big cats, or maybe the little itty bitty monkeys. and i really like bats too!
