i'll definitely check out victoria when iget a weekend without plans. i stayed there for 2 days when i was 16 - but i cant remember much. it will be a chance to fool my mind.
sometimes,
when my limbs are still and my mind is quiet i can feel the cool blue blood pulsing. it does nothing but separate, and alienate and
i am aware that the body is always singular and alone, even when looking into your partners eyes as you are about to come. the soul is collective yet the body is singular, just a container. it means... Read More
just finished tom wolfe. electric kool-aid acid test is a bizarre and wonderful novel full of beautiful, colorful language, a bit of fact, and plenty of myth. curious that anyone can write like that.
i wish people would stop being such assholes to each other. really, there is no reason to be such an asshole to your fellow man. we all were born, and so will die, and we all have enough fucking struggles in our lives. sure, some people piss me off sometimes, and i haven't always kept composed, but i'm working on it. why can't we just... they weren't kidding... bowling for columbine was the most important movie made last year, and probably in the past few.
reaffirmed the fact that i disregard most news media as a sensationalist distraction from the reality of the real events in the world.
even living in canada, almost all media here is either from, or heavily influenced by america. the united states has some very... Read More
Check out China Hamilton's work. Modern, with the vintage feel.
Note: I work for a company that includes a gun store.
According to statistics that I'm getting from multiple sources (doesn't mean they're right, just makes for better odds), the UK is suffering from a large increase in gun related crime (mostly blamed on Jamaican gangs - "Yardies"). In the US, the UK has long been the example pointed to when someone wishes to argue against public ownership of guns. IMO, this damages the credability of that arguement. Our 2nd Amemdment was put into our constitution to allow us the power to rebel should it become "necessary." To remove that would make the likely hood of repressive gov't much more real (see current US gov.).
Again, my opinion.
i believe the UKs rates ARE going up, however they still haven't reached multiple hundreds, whereas america is well into the 11 thousands. and i understand the motives behind the second amendment, i just feel that maybe they need to be more restrictive and much more responsible. and i'd like to hope that we do actually live in a democratic society, and that the need for a bloody revolution is not taken lightly in the hands of the people.
but that's my opinion of late, which is known to change as i get older and wiser.
it's late, and i'm feeling troubled and nostalgic...
thinking i'm too young to have lost so many people already. cars... too many cars have crashed. too many drugs and diseases. wonder why i scraped through and not others. it's a blessing, yet it's difficult to understand the strange way that the world turns.
if fate or destiny has a plan for me, then what of... Read More
too many people expect things to just happen for them, and never do a god damn thing... then wonder why they aren't satisfied. it makes me cringe to see so many people becoming so fucking apathetic.
Happy New Years!
Although tomorrow is just another day, just like the rest.
Don't make resolutions just today, make them all the time. Better your life on a regular basis, and don't use holidays as a reminder of your blessings.... remember them everyday.
just saw two towers. lost myself in it... just absolutely awesome. and now a whole year before the end. saw it in imax. brilliant and captivating.
i think i'm gonna kidnap Legolas and make him do tricks for me.
