Okay nothing really new to report...except my Cardinals got swept by the Brew Crew in Milwaukee and lost the lead for NL Central....boooooo!
But I'm still a loving dirty Cardinal fan!!!
So new project rolling in and need some opinions.
I'm going to be getting a Yammy (Yamaha) XS650 to bob.
Now I'm going with one of two styles. One has a rigid hard tail (lot more welding, measuring, etc) while the other utilized the stock rear suspension and allows for two up riding (even though I hate two up riding....)
This build is gonna be on the cheap and I'm gonna try to keep it under $3000 if I can. I wish I had a place to weld b/c that would def. save me some coin. But living in a studio apartment in the 3rd largest city in the US doesn't allow me many choices.....
Plan on using a Sporty tank, drag bars, and hoping to comfortably fit some foward controls...
So which style do ya'll like better?
Non rigid...stockish suspension, and allows for two up?
or hard tail chop...solo seat...more money....more time involved...etc

@Scrat...the first style is growing on me more and more. I messaged the builder to find out how much of a seat drop he did and how many degrees he raked the frame/triples. That style is called a brat style and is quite popular in Japan.
The bike will neither be built for speed or performance....just something to cruise slow and low on. It's only got a yammy 2 smoke (stroke) in it so not a lot of power to be had or made.
