Heard some really bad news today that puts things in perspective. My best friend's brother and his wife had a baby last week and something was wrong with her heart and she died early Monday morning. She was barely 13 days old.

I guess the thing that hit me most about it were some little things that were bothering me the past couple of days....

On one of, if not the, slowest days in sports, big news from the NHL - hockey is back. Tomorrow sometime, the Stars are supposed to announce new ticket prices for the new season. Not sure how that will affect my season tickets, but we'll see.

Off to Houston tomorrow for a couple of days. I think I'm going to the Astros/Braves game tomorrow night. Should I wear my old Braves bullpen jacket? Probably not. Not cold enough and it's very shiny. I'll just pack a Rangers cap and be happy with that.
