Mardi Gras season is over. Whew. It wasn't as wild as years past, but lots of fun was had. Wed night we had drinks. Thur night people really started cutting up, and my brother's band played downtown. Friday night there was 7 bands at Grant St. so the partying was full force. Parades were going on all evening, some tuns of drunk stragglers were wandering. Saturday more drinking.
Sunday was a blast, there were no parades so we took a friend from Los Angeles to Lake Martin. He had his first drive thru daquiri and we canoed around for an hour or two. After that we decided to go cajun dancing at Whiskey River Landing. This place is a boat landing/bar/grocer on the Henderson swamp. We had a blast, I haven't actually been to a real cajun dance in years. Then we ate at Pat's, a cajun restruant in Henderson. After drinking all day there is nothing tastier that huge plates of fried seafood, and bisque, and more drinks, and gumbo, and turtle soup, and oysters, okay you get the idea. We didn't stop drinking til 5 am.
Monday was kind of laid back, I worked then took a nap. I ended up watching movies. But Tuesday was a different story. There was a huge party with 8 or 9 bands, so we started there. Then hit the parades.
I am sick of typing so I will finish later.

yeah, when SG went down, for some reason it took me to the log-in page. i tried to log in, but it kept telling me my membername and password were invalid. i freaked out, thinking i'd either gotten the zot or someone had stolen my account. freaky.
