I've been watching my favorite Anime Gantz with my dad recently. And I'm overall ammazed that he's into it. He said he wanted to watch the entire run. 
We're about halfway thru it so far having watched Episode 11 today. When Gantz came out in Japan it shocked them, with it's scathing social commentary, graphic brutal violence, harsh language and frank depictions of sex (no it's not Hentai but there's plenty of nudity and one pretty hot sex scene), but it doesn't use the violence for the sake of mindless violence. It's to shock you into paying attention so you get the message their trying to make. But for those of you that aren't familiar with Gantz, perhaps it's time you looked inside the horror:
