So, got a call from forest dispatch today, they were looking for a faller b, meaning an intermediate sawyer, which is myself. Most of the guys were kinda dragging their feet or turning it down, so I took the assignment. Therefore im headed out sunday am for Ruidoso NM amd will be falling hazard trees for 14 days (length of all assignments). Sounds like it will be a good gig tho, they're putting me up in the old ranger's house, (back from the day that federal workers got housing), and full meal per-diem. So we'll see how things go, taking 2 power heads multiple bars and chain. At some point hopefully I'll make it the 30 minute drive up to smokey bear's gravesite. Until I get a chance to update again, I should have cell service out there.
