So, back on working in fire now for the summer, so far for PT its like we've been training for a track meet, run every day, and not nice happy running on a track runs, but more like kick your ass on a trail for a few miles kind of runs. Did I mention that there are a shit ton of cacti right on the trails? That makes it fun. After our runs its usually about 20-30 minutes of calesthetics and abs of pain. All I ask is that once a week or twice a week, I can get a good weight set in, but the engine capt that is in charge of our pt schedule doesn't want to buff up, so its like a screw you to me, or i can just come in early or stay late. Other than that, days are pretty good at the ol Sabino, cut myself sharpening the fire chainsaw, thats a good sign its sharp, and a bad sign that I wasn't wearing gloves like I'm supposed to.
On the homefront, the house is getting settled in, I need more pin-ups for the living room. I'm thinking 1 or 2 more, and possibly some B/W pictures of WWII bomber noses with the nose art on them. The garden is coming alog, got some table grapes, wine grapes, herbs, cucumbers, chiles, tomatoes, strawberries, and maybe later some wildflowers ( i spread out the seed, we'll see if they take)
Also found some Lone Star beer, its not the best in the world by anymeans, but its Texan, and its like being home once in a while, good feeling. Stocked up on Shiner while I was at it as well.
