Well what a fucked weekend.... Craziest storm in like 25years, worst flooding for 35years. I spent most of the past few days waist deep in water at my best friends house saving anything we could. it was fucking crazy, the water at his place raised around a meter in an hour, but luckily it was only material things he lost, and though it still sucks, atleast he, his wife and kid got out ok, and no one was hurt. I had some trees come down at my place but luckily there was no real damage. The power is out but we got a generator. The last report I heard there was something like 200,000 places without power, which could last till the end of the week. A couple of people I know don't have water either. It is kinda shitty at the moment that there is nothing we can really do but sit around and wait for water to lower so we can start cleaning up, that said it is cool we get to relax a day before all the hard work starts again. It has been a cool day as we are just sitting back, relaxing with some beers and Alkaline Trio albums playing one after the other. With so many around us who have lost everything, some who have lost loved ones, I think we appreciate the chance to do it a little more than we would have last week.
