Well, the interview thing was interesting. They handed me a sheet of questions like "What is your understanding of this job" and "tell us a situation where you have used skills that you will need in this job"
I had 10 minutes to jot some notes on all the questions. Then I was brought in to a room with two guys who weren't allowed to ask me any questions. I had to speak extemporaneously on the questions and my notes. I had no idea if I was telling them what they wanted to hear or what they were thinking about anything. I don't get nervous speaking to people, but I do get nervous when there is no interaction.
Finally at the end, they could drop the facade and act a bit normal. They were nice guys and had been there for a long time. They didn't like the interview process either, but that's what they had to do.
So now I wait to hear if I go on to the next round. It's been narrowed from 75 original applicants to 25. There are 3 positions available, so I guess I have around a 1:8 chance at it
