What does it mean when you smell burnt sesame seeds?
Yesterday I was at a barbecue in South Philly and the odor came from next door. I said, "What's that smell? It reminds me of burnt sesame seeds." Everyone looked at me in surprise and said, "It does smell like burnt sesame seeds. How did you know it was burnt sesame seeds?" I didn't know it was burnt sesame seeds. "That's just what it smells like." Someone on the stoop said, "It's a meth lab."
Does anyone know? Does a meth lab smell like burnt sesame seeds? I am so naive, I don't even know how one does meth. I know it's speed... I kind feel like maybe it's something you snort. Is it a pill? Is it something you inject? All I know is it Fucks You Up. Quick (but stupid) way to lose weight.
Speaking of losing weight, the extra five pounds is just about gone. It only took a week. It figures that the pounds that I gained so fast were gone fast also. Easy come, easy go. It's the next 20 pounds that are gonna be tough.
I ate a greasy sandwich today. Bad Goob! But I am allowed to let go a little every once in a while. This sandwich is called a "Chicken Whack". It's like "Donovan is whack." (which only makes sense to you if you are EvilFlapjack)
I'll be at The Philadelphia Folk Festival in only twelve days. I get to go in early to help set up. I did that last year, and here is what it looked like then:
It's so bare and empty. This is the only picture I have posted of the Fest campground at full swing:
You can't see quite how crazy full it is. It's madness. I need some madness. I'm going to have to start getting ready soon. So much preparation for one long weekend.
