Life is weird.
I'm not sure what else to say.
Last night I went to the Bethlehem Musikfest with my mom and sister and mom's friend. We saw Bill Miller play.
Has anyone heard of Bill Miller?

Your loss. He's an amazing musician. The native flute is astoundingly good, but I think it's his beat-up-the-guitar blues solos that get me.
When he was playing "Reservation Road" last night (with the full bird call and percussion guitar intro), I was captivated. Somehow, I was transported back in time seven or eight years... to when we used to go see Bill at Godfrey Daniels, and the warm gold light shone on the wooden floor and the echo of the flute and the silence of the audience was like a church, and the grin on my face was in wonder of this man who could create these sounds out of these simple instruments. Back then he would play two flutes at once, but now he has a special double-barrelled flute that he can play like two. Ever seen Pocahontas? Bill did a lot of the native flute sountrack for that movie.
Dammit, my boyfriend's birthday is rapidly approaching, and I want to do something for him, but I don't know what. Everything I think of, he shoots down. It's made me afraid to try anything. I'm not asking for suggestions. I'll think of something. He's not as easy as he looks. (haha) But the pressure is getting bad. Time is running out.
In other news, Folk Fest is rapidly approaching. Only a few weeks away! I'm supposed to go in early with my dad, but I'm not sure I want to take advantage of the system like he seems to want to.
