I'm in Anchorage! Public Library, I love you.
I had to sign on the computers here with Holly's card so I could log into SG. She's a good friend.
I arrived here last night near midnight, which translates to 4am in my mind, having come through various time zones since Philly. Oh and guess what- I was the "special" one they picked at Airport security, so the dude put his hands through all my panties! Exciting! Then I had 2 beers and some fries at an airport bar in Philly. My first flight was just under 6 hours, and I read a whole book, watched "Miss Congeniality 2" and "Scrubs" and "Cheers", and listened to the new Mike Doughty album, all before I got to Seattle. The flights were pleasant enough- I was pretty impressed by the toilet in the middle of the cabin. It was more spacious than many bar restrooms I've used. In Seattle I had a sandwich and another beer. Overpriced, but refreshing. I fell asleep on the second flight, in the middle of the movie "Sahara" despite the hottie Penelope Cruz's delicious accent. I awoke to our descent above Anchorage, as the sun was setting behind Mount Susitna, with a gorgeous view of the cloudscape and the mountains.
Evilflapjack picked me up at the airport and we made a little bar-hopping effort downtown. On our way to the first bar, a boy called from an open second floor window. He was shirtless, so naturally I called back, "Are you naked?" "No," he replied. "Well, why not???" So there were about 4 guys in there at least, and the one stripped naked and hung most way out the window so I could take pictures. Yay! Naked boys are fun. On our way back from the bar they were still there so we found out that he's only 20 and it's not their apartment, it's a homeless shelter. D'oh.
So the first bar we went to was Humpy's and I had a nice IPA. There was a band and it was loud, so after our beers were done we walked a couple blocks to Darwin's Theory and had a couple vodka cranberries... they were weak so we split a shot to up the booze content. The best things about that place were: The hot waitress that I touched in an altogether too friendly way, but she didn't seem to mind. I've just come from the Gathering so I'm in quite a touchy-feely mood, so I put a hand around her waist. Also: the bathroom had a condom machine with "Magic Evening" and "Slick Willie" condoms. Awesome.
So now we're at the library and I think we gotta run so we can go to Lenscrafters and get me some glasses. Then who knows? Probably tonight have dinner at the Moose's Tooth, then hit the bars. Chilkoot Charlie's, of course. Last time I was in Anchorage, Holly was underage, so we didn't hit many bars.

Yep, the very first set I submitted, in fact the first set I ever shot was my original lights set.
