It is 8:20am and I am fully dressed, awake, and at my computer. Why, you ask? Especially since forty minutes ago I was in bed asleep?

SEPTA has stopped running trains between Jenkintown and Fern Rock. I don't know the nature of the problem, but the effect is that regional rail service has been "suspended" for the R2, R3, R5... and I guess the R1. There are no alternate plans yet (like a shuttle) and no information as to when service will resume.

What does that mean for Goob? It means I can't take the train to my 8:40am class. I could drive to Temple, but that would certainly take more than an hour, and traffic is terrible today. I am not going through the Broad Street Ordeal on a day like this. Think of the hundreds of commuters that are now driving to the city instead of taking regional rail. I hate Broad Street on a good day. Besides, what is the point of showing up an hour late for class, staying for the last fifteen minutes, then driving all the way home? Not worth it. It's okay, I have a pretty high grade in that class. I can afford to lose a day.

So here I am. I think I am going to go back to bed.

-damn, I am still not asleep. It's nearly 10:00. How can I leave the SG now, when 2 new sets are about to go up? Ten more minutes... then I sleep.
