This was a good weekend, also. I'm on a roll here. Hopefully the whole summer will continue this way.
My party Friday night was a smashing success. Lots of people came and it seemed everyone enjoyed themselves. I certainly did. I was up until the birds sang, and I even had some snuggly-kissin' boyful time. (oh, who am I kidding. snuggly? i had sex on the couch in the living room of my tiny apartment full of sleeping people, the closest being 4 feet away at most. and nobody woke up! tee hee.)
Saturday morning I slept late cuz everyone else did. Then me and Roger and Moira and Moira's boy Corey drove to New Jersey for the Appel Farm music festival. Yay! We got there late and missed a couple of the bands I wanted to see (Erin McKeown and Los Lonely Boys) but we caught the later stuff. Ani DiFranco played last, and she was pretty damn good this time. Sometimes she can sound harsh and off-key and too angry to me, but I loved yesterday's set. Reminded me why I like her to begin with. Go listen to "Both Hands" and remember with me.
Most important to me, I had a boy hold me and hug me long and lovely. Not sure yet if he could be more than an incidental lover, but he felt really good to me yesterday. I admit there is potential. But you know me, always the cautious one. Tune in next week!
