good:
around the beginning of the month, i finally bought myself a website (www.JETobal.com) in order to give my short stories a proper place on the internet. i started building the site, polishing up some old short stories, etc. this was going to be step one of my personal renaissance in getting my feet back on the ground as both a writer and a professional (waiting tables is gay). oh, and the full title of the site is "A Study in Bourbon: The Stories of J.E. Tobal"
very, very, very, very bad:
two weeks later (on the 15th) i got a call around midnight letting me know that my best friend of 15 years, someone i loved like a brother, died suddenly and unexpectedly. needless to say, my entire week last week was shot. i spent several days bawling like a little girl. this week i'm finally getting my life somewhat back on track. though i expect it will be years before i'm actually completely over what happened.
who fucking knows:
