so, this week i am doing, quite arguably, one of the most important things of my life. really.
on thursday i am turning in the first chapter of the new book i'm working on as an assignment for my Creative Fiction class. aside from the criticism i'll have to take from the whole class, the teacher's opinion will also weigh very heavily on me. why? because i want to try to get an internship this summer at some kind of publishing house and if she thinks my writing sucks, she probably won't help me.
this internship would help me land a job in publishing when my tenure at college is finished.
that job will help me get connections to get my material published.
that is, currently, my goal in life.
next tuesday may prove to be a very pivotal moment in my life.
