Other than that........heading up to portland on the 22nd of august. Go see my nephew on his b-day. I have to officiate a wedding the weekend before. Should be interesting. I have done 1 other. My cousin in california. That means I have to dust off the ole suit. Which I wear once a year. It is a double breasted Tony Soprano model. I look like I am in the mafia when I wear it and sunglasses.
I should wear it to get some of my clients who are lax in payment to ante up. One of them owes me 2g's for 4 albums I did. I only sent him 2 so far. I see some loot I will send the others. I hate doing it but it is not like I am sitting in a bedroom doing this shit for free.
I am also doing alot of bike riding. Down about 10 lbs so far. Another 10 to go and I shall be happy. I try and do at least 5 miles a day, maybe 10 weather dependent. It is a good tonic and helps burn off steam since quitting smoking again. I have laid off the pot too. Not good for bike riding......esp out here and some of the dingbat drivers we have.
Which is funny friday night when I was out and about I heard a couple of rumors about me that make me chuckle.
1. I am high all the time. Nope sorry not the case actually. Really very little. In the last year I have cut down the amount I smoke by at least 75%. Maybe the occasional toot on a friday/saturday night but that is it really.
2. I do blow. Lots of it. No, have not touched it in 11 years. Do not even look at it. Do not know anyone who sells it or I cannot get it for free. Sorry.
3. I am not the new sound guy for the upcoming soundgarden tour. I know nothing really. Sorry.
Just silly shit. makes me laugh. Happenings in the music side of my life are private that is all I do not going around bragging I am working on this or that. Or I know this person or that person. Being private about that stuff is just a leftover from the old days when I did not want people bugging me is all. You ask I may tell you or not. It is not a lie or brag. Just kind of how I live my life is all. Less hassle.
But it does breed alot of speculation. hence the rumor mongering. It does not bother me but it may be in the way of meeting the person I want to meet.
I am not a snob. I hear music differently, I hear production differently. I may not like all the bands everyone else does. I do not have to be seen. I am not an uber hipster, It is true I do not talk to everyone in a bar. I speak when spoken to. I am just guarded about my privacy is all. I am not a drug dealer or anything of the sort.
Or I can just thorw on my che shirt get out the fixie and go smoke cigarettes at the hi dive.........
