I booked a bus to spend Christmas with my cousin upstate! Her hubby is delpoyed, so she was all alone too. Yay! I feel so much better about Christmas now. And my parents just told me they're coming to Cali for my birthday in February... I couldn't be happier. It's not quite home, but it makes me feel so much better.
I did my classic "Christmas panic" gift shopping. I never know what to get my family. So, I always end up getting them things I love. I do this with the hope that they will at least have a better understanding of me if they happen to not love it themselves. For mama: Amelie. Papa: Edwarde Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros "Up From Below". Brother bear: Everything is Illuminated. His wifey bear: Florence + the Machine "Lungs". I still have to get my cousin something rad, but inspiration struck as I passed Lush today. I think that's where I will find the answer to that Christmas mystery.
I'm trying to pull together another shoot in NYC before I pack my bags and head off to the West Coast. Schedules aren't lining up very well, but I'll try my hardest to get something up before 2011 rolls around. I'm so grateful for all the kindness and support I've found here. You guys rule.
