So, I got on my course which means I'm coming home next year. 
I'm gonna be studying at UCE in Birmingham which should be sweet. I was there for a couple of days last month and I've never seen such an ethnically diverse city. Hopefully the scene out there will be too.
My mother asked me recently what I wanted for christmas this year and after thinking about it I decided I wasn't going to celebrate christmas anymore. What is Christmas? A celebration of the birth of Christ
As an Atheist I find it a bit contradictory (is that a word?) to take part in a celebration for something I care nothing about. And as an anti-consumerist I find it sad that people need to buy gifts to feel part of it.
So I told my mother she should tell people not to buy me anything, but if people felt that they had to do something, then charity is a much more deserving cause than me.
I could elaborate more but you're probably already bored, and thinking I'm an ungratefull cunt. If I can be arsed I might post something in the adbusters or atheist groups

i'm a sucker for christmastime. i went to the weihnachesmarkt tonight and drank some hot wine and looked at all the lights. and i'm jewish.

My family is not really religious, so christmas is just an excuse to reunite the whole big family and to stay toghether, which is actually a nice thing, And we don't really give presents, except to the little ones. But it happens always that my mother buys me something (usually a t-shirt).
