its been quite a while since I updated, havent forgotten about you all, just been busy with work and traveling a lot...

Heres my latest adventure...

Have been planning on a second, longer, trip by boat to Bimini, mostly for fishing but with some R&R mixed in for good measure.

Left Isla Morada a little late since our GPS took a shit so we had to find a replacement. So after just under 3 hours of navigating the Gulf Stream we finally see pardadise, the weather couldnt be better...

As soon as we get into the shoals we find a tini wooden boat with a couple of bahamians offering lobster tails and cracked conch. I love me some Bahamian cracked conch biggrin

Shortly after filling a cooler with tails for dinner we head into the Bimini Sands to clear customs and check into our villa.

So now it was either chill for the rest of the day at the beach or head out for some fishing. Well the weather was just too good to stay in, so out we go in search of some fish to play with

On the way south to Sands Key, just past Cat Key the weather just keeps getting calmer and calmer...

The Crew catching a sweet Bahamian Sunset, cant get much better than this smile

Turned out to be just a little too quite and calm out there the first night, so much so that I could see the bottom with corals and all in 50 ft of water. AT NIGHT eeek

So we called it a night and headed back in, soaked in the pool for a bit and hit the sack early.

The next day was a complety different story, the winds a seas had picked up, and we headed north to the Isaacs, and the to the Gingerbread Grounds. I quickly break the ice with this nice grouper

Then toy with some big sharks

all in all it ended being a great day...

The next day was pretty much a relax kind of day, with some snorkling / beach bumming / kalik (bahamian beer) drinking involved

The Resort

yes, these are my hairy feet biggrin

The right after a much needed cleaning

Now this is an interesting place, its actually a concrete ship that sunk many years ago in shallow water, like 15ft at its depest. Theres so much stuff there to see, all kinds of cool fishies, corals, turtles here and there, you can even go inside and snorkle through all the compartments. Too bad the camera case had a leak and killed to digi cam...

The ride back was fucking hell, the gulf stream greated us with 8 ft seas. Took us 8 hours to get back, and on top of that we got boarded by marine patrol in Isla Morada, since everything was copacetic we were let go without incident.

well hope you liked the pics, I really enjoyed the trip and will hopefully be back in a month or two (hey, have to take advantgage before all them hurricanes start plowing through).

so other than makind trips like this ( I just came from a 3 day camp out at Sebastian) , everything is pretty much the same... work is work... life is life.... I really need to pay more attention to certain people close to me though...
