ok,my daughter who is 19 just called me uptight,because i wont let her 17 old boyfriend stay the night..for one we live in a one bedroom apt...so bed and couch are taken...now i consider myself a pretty hip and cool dad,but i am a dad ...any advice

Personally, I think you made the right decision. I know how hard it is to go from "cool parent" to "mean parent" in your teenagers eyes. It sucks, but I don't think you want to be a "grampy" at this stage in life, any more than I want to be a "grammy!"
