So around 6:30 AM, I left to work under monsoon conditions.
I got soaked getting into the car because even though Im an old man, I have never mastered the fine art of opening the car door with an umbrella and then getting in and closing the door in a smooth and painless manner.Ugh.
Anyway, so I make it out to an intersection, and get out to the middle to make a left.
Monsoon still in full force.
A lady pulls out to the middle next to me, but immediately scoots up, blocking my view of the oncoming cars. I do my pointless road rage bit and then decide to just back up, and let her go first. Almost immediately she shoots ahead. I move back up to where I was previously.
But oh, she slammed the brakes because she couldnt go at after all. I slammed my brakes but still hit her.
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
Even though the monsoon is still I full effect, she immediately opens the door, deftly employing her umbrella (I am ashamed) and looks at her rear end, looks at me, and waves her hand in a manner that says, pffft, forget about it. I sorta nod at her. She quickly and smoothly gets back in the car. Instant relief floods through me, but I guess she cant see me well, so she opens the door and looks back at me and gives me the thumb up.
So I more emphatically nod at her again, and this time sort of give her a go ahead and go gesture.
Fun way to start a morning
The rest of the day was better. Phew.
