Wish me luck today, the 4th of July in my little town is a much bigger deal than it should be.

We have people come from states away to attend the shitty little craft fair/flea market and even more show up to watch our fireworks.

Ten years ago when this stuff was actually worth it, I could see why we got so much tourist traffic, but the last few years it hasn't been much to write home about, especially the fireworks show.

None the less, I have a fun filled shift ahead of me putting up with city douchbags too busy and too stupid to read how to use a gas pump properly. I always love the wonderful customers the highway brings through, especially on holidays.

I'm sure I also get to look forwards to getting out of work extremely late, since I'm sure even at close when I announce we are closed and lock them in, they will still fuck around for twenty minutes before finding whatever fat inducing snacks they feel they need.

Well I should get going, I think I'll be walking to work since many of our streets are either blocked with people who can't park, or can't drive.... nothing like a string of SUVs and H3s going opposite directions on a small village street to fuck things up for everyone.
