ok here's the deal. i'm really getting pissed off about this whole burning kitten thing. why? because it's apparently arousing intense emotions, which is good, but you know what? it was one kitten. period. and he's dead. yet there are millions of animals who are still getting tortured and are suffering horribly every day, there are shelters that put down 90% of the healthy animals that come through their doors cause they don't have space for them, there are people who routiinely beat their dogs, kick them in the head, and then throw them out of cars. at the vet's yesterday there was a kitten who got caught accidentally in a piece of farm equiptment, and is now missing his tail, a foreleg, and half an ear. and these animals are still alive and still need help. so instead of bitching and getting all pissy online, do something useful - foster a sick animal in need of a home, donate some money to your local shelter, hell even volunteer there for a little bit. make a difference. little typed indignant paragraphs and hate email onlly go so far.
