i'm back!! i just want to say that i had the most wonderful time ever ever ever. but i'm not gonna say how absolutely wonderful and loveable and awsome bobbyloathesyou is cause then all you girls out there in portland will want him. ; p
so i spent a week and a half in portland, met the wonderful, lovely, extremely nice and friendly jolene (and saw elara, chole, and sarah), had a fun and nakedness filled dante's night, and all in all had a blast. then came the family vacation part of it all, which started out with a mt. rainier attempt. unfortuanately we didn't summit cause we happened to run into - surprise surprise - the worst blizzard in 15 years halfway up the mountain, complete with 50 mph winds and ice pellets. gee, peeing in (and getting to) the outhouses was fun in that weather. also, something i ddin't learn till late in the game was - cover your eyes you squemish boys - the high altitude, 10k feet, makes a woman 2x as likely to get her period up there on the mountain. y'all have 1 guess as to the special gift i recieved that lovely night. so we weren't able to summit and had to hike down the next day. apparently groups after us weren't able to summit for the next few days either cause 2 feet of snow had fallen that night. go figure.
so then the family and i went camping in mt. rainier national park which is gorgeous. any of you folks out there who haven't been need to go asap. the old growth forests are just so incredible. moss hanging everywhere, huge pines, rivers colored aqua blue from the glacial runoffs . . . it even made up for the "family" part of the vacation. barely. i'm not gonna bitch, but damn, a week and a half is a loooooooong fucking time.
so that was why i was away for so long it's now back to work for me.
ooooh!! and i get my gimpy kitten monday!!! i'll take pics, he is just too cute for words. his name is jan, after jan baalsrud. mad props to anyone who knows how that is and why i named him after him. if you get really curious though i'll tell ya. his nickname is roo, after kanga and roo from whinnie the poo, cause of how he stands up on his huge hind feet. you'll see. i'll post pics.
