ok here's the dealio people. i, phaedra, longtime sg oggler and poster am coming to PORTLAND!! i get in the 16th and leave the 26th for washington, to go climb mt. rainier with my family. anyone heard of mt. rainier? you know, it's right next to mt. hood, where three people just DIED. my father sent me an email a little while ago: "we have a guide for this trip, so if you guys (my younger brother, sister, and myself) die, it's not my fault!" it should be really fun though. we get to wear crampons and use ice axes and all that. i've gone hiking and climbing a ton in the adirondacks, which are a mountain range here in ny, but i've never done anything involving ice.

but anyways, back to the subject at hand. i am completely 100% open to being pampered, treated to meals, and getting drunk. if anyone wants to get togehter you should let me know. i don't know if i'll have a ton of time but i love meeting people!

now, the real trick will be getting through airport security with a fuckload of metal in my body. i'm gonna have to pack my caribeaner (rock climbing clip) in my under-the-plane luggage, i'm sure they'll confiscate it otherwise. bastards. anyone know if they'll have a problem with steel toed boots?
