I just got back from Louisiana. I went to Baton Rouge to visit some relatives. I had a suprisingly good time. I spent a lot of time with my mom and her cousin at the drive-thru bar playing poker. I'm still fascinated by the fact they have a drive-thru bar. Things are so much simpler there. There isn't a lot of traffic and no one seems to be in any hige hurry unlike Dallas. Money isn't as big of a deal. It was refreshing to get away from all the Starbucks drinking people in their Mercedes and BMW's talking on the cell phone. I almost didn't want to come back. People there actually had value in things other that material possessions and had manners. It was nice .
