Karma: The Universal Conscience
In a discussion group I was once asked what I thought was the definition of was karma. Everyone had already laid out their theories, which were all the same. They were roughly saying you get what you give totally physical, basically if you are a good enough person you will be rewarded with a fantastic, painless life. And if there is one thing I hate about a discussion group is everyone standing around telling each other how very right they are. That is not a discussion. Someone once said I never learned anything from someone that agreed with me. So heres what I said.
I seems that most of the acknowledged theories on karma have been viewed already. But suppose good karma is not that if good goes out good will come back and reward you but that the gift of good karma is simply that you are a good person, and that you can look in the mirror and say I like that person. Not that some day you will be rewarded with a physical gift of a wonderful trouble free life (like some people think) suppose karma has nothing to do with punishment and reward. But that good karma is just as much a test as bad karma, In that you have to realize that good karma has nothing to do with your physical world and only you spiritual outlook on yourself.
This is honestly what I feel because we all know that there are plenty of lovely amazing people in the world that lead very hard lives, and for that matter very bad people that lead very comfortable lives. Im a good person but bad things still happen to me. This doesnt mean I have bad karma it just mean sometimes .. SHIT HAPPENS..and theres not a damn thing you can do about it. Take it in stride know that this too shall pass. Do the right thing because its the right thing not because you are going to be rewarded. That is what life is trying to teach us. Not, be good and Ill give you a lollipop.

old and new. he wrote his first book when he was twenty-three and recently came out with his first novel called Boomeritis. I highly suggest reading anything by him or anything on spiral dynamics. especially if your going into writing. "but don't take my word for it"-lavar burton. peace and good luck!
