Seven and a half things about me:
1. I make my living as a writer for both a daily and weekly paper in the Midwest of the U.S.
2. I only recently decided that flip-flops were acceptable footwear for men.
3. At the moment, I have a fu manchu moustache.
4. I drink at least three -- and up to 12 -- India Pale Ales a week. Default: Sierra Nevada. Favorite: Bell's Two Hearted.
5. I actually read and occasionally even enjoy poetry by still-living writers.
6. When I was a child, I worried that because my astrological sign was cancer, I was destined to die of cancer.
7. The above superstition still haunts me.
7.5. Although I am of Latin descent, I am not sure that you could fairly describe me as "hot-blooded."
