Its kind of sad when you put what little time you have left over (between school and work and life in general) into a project, and then a week before the project launches, someone ruins it.

For the past 2 months, I have been planning a surprise trip to Portland for totallystoked's 22nd birthday, which is on June 15th. As most of you know, he moved here from portland, and always talks about going back to visit.

I got my hands on some frequent flyer miles and decided to put them towards the best birthday ever. The only catch was that he wouldnt know until we arrived at the airport.

I did everything. I booked the flights. I called his boss and got the time off for him (they put his name on the schedule, but really had someone else scheduled for those times. Rad). I got us a place to stay. I even planned a show with two of his friends' bands (one of which is his old band) for the night of his birthday. I sat on myspace ( ) for hours trying to find his old friends and let them know about our trip. I was going to pack for him too.

He had no idea up until tonight. We are scheduled to leave on Wednesday the 14th.

This evening, he got a call from one of his friends in portland. "OMG YOU ARE TOTALLY COMING NEXT WEEK! YEAY!"


......excuse me? what dont you understand about SURPRISE, dickface?

grr.

Anyway, he is thrilled. Although it would have been fucking rad to carry out the whole surprise and everything, I hope he enjoys his present anyway.

Ill be in PDX from the 14th to the 18th.
(Yes! I get to see Lyxzen!!)
