Interesting.

Family is a weird thing. In the past week I heard two things that really kinda made me scratch my head. First was a friend's mother who was moved to tears at a daughter's surprise visit. The other is a fellow who, despite being an adult would not date someone that don't get okay'd by the parents.

I just... can't see myself in either of those situations. I like my family but I guess we just don't have as close ties as other families? Maybe it is just me and I actually *should* go home more than once every month or two?

At any rate, that's whats been on my mind recently. Everything else is pretty much as it has been for a while. Long days at work but hiring continues so hopefully that'll recede. I was finally a pirate for halloween so my life is complete.

This last bit is a bit of a tangent but I'm throwing it out there anyhow. If anyone knows how to get white cat hair off of a couch... Mine has apparantly has chosen to bond at the molecular level with the cat hair and it makes me sad. The vacuum isn't strong enough and I'm tired of using half of one of those sticky rollers designed for pants and such every time I want to clean the couch..
