So then. Things I have learned:

1-having friends at work is good. Bringing in friends from Dell is especially good. Basically any time one of my friends no longer has to work the nightmare that is shift work I'm happy.

2-I remain a devout choir boy. Life has already interceded... missed the first half of the first rehearsal as I was working late on a project... but I guess that'll happen. It continues to be liberating to remember, in the back of my mind, the choir will survive just fine if I have to fade out. Liberating, if not entirely ego-boosting.

3-I suddenly feel pidgeonholed by my persona. Back in junior high I was an elite little bugger... fairly intense ego matched fairly evenly by intense lack of faith in near everyone else. High school had me become more of a quietly desperate dude (well, except for the quiet part I suppose) and had me rarely going through a day without hugging someone (if possible).

Now I don't really hug people any more. In fact, I find myself rather annoyed whenever I get jostled by others... quite a turnaround. I guess being in a fairly stable relationship combined with stable work in my field has made me a bit of a cocky prick. It would be nice to find a compramise. Maybe make it so people know I'm a good person by actually being nice once and a while.

we shall see how that goes. Everyone needs a hobby, right?

4- It sucks to work at a computer terminal when I have itchy eyes and a runny nose. I also appear to develop an inability to sleep when I'm sick which seems counterintuitive to me.

5-have a nice day.
