I went down to Innisfail this past weekend and had a blast. I miss my Innisfail crew... part of me is sad I can't keep in better contact with them but the other part kinda enjoys the fact I can go there and it's just like high school/back when I was at RDC.

That said, apparantly one of the people in the crew down there felt obliged to tell my best friend that he is angry with me. Didn't tell me... I guess that'd be silly even though I have known the dude for over a decade..

For what, you might ask? "Being sarcastic." It's fortunate that he told us over the phone otherwise we'd have had to keep a straight face after hearing that. I concede that sarcasm (by definition) is not a good thing. That said, I'm afraid that if after knowing me for over a decade you are surprised that I'm sarcastic... well... yeah.

Ever get a ton of messages that make no sense from somebody when you're at a party and so can't really respond? Then the next day getting an apology for aforementioned messages but not an explanation? It's like a mystery written just for me. Unfortunately I'm more of a fantasy reader.

Thanksgiving diner with the family was good times, if rushed. I had to work Thanksgiving monday and the supper was Sunday so I had to leave by 8:30, which kinda sucked as it was a combo dinner between my brother's girlfriend's family and mine. My ego got a nice boost nonetheless though because we (my brother and I) were invited to play a bit for the gathered crew and we were good. I have good days and off days on the upright and that was definately a "good" day... I love playing with my brother... that boy knows his jazz.

I did however give myself a rather painful cut from improperly sliding up the highest string on my bass... I must say I thought I was safe from such injuries when I chose not to play on a guitar. I guess not.

Work is special. I actually find I don't mind getting up for 6 in the morning near as much as I thought I would... I really didn't know if I could do it. Turns out I can and it isn't too bad, either. I value being free 6-on far more than pre-noon so it works well for me. The only problem is going to bed by 10 but really there are far worse fates.

It turns out that despite wording in the job ad that suggested otherwise I am in fact just doing phone support. I have decided there are far worse things. I am making friends at work (first time that has happened) and am finding I actually *do* have a lot of knowledge that applies directly. Of course the actual work hasn't started but...

I think this is the first time I have worked a job where I don't feel like I am ripping someone off every day I go there and that means something to me.

Well, I'm surely thinking about it now, anyway.
