So then! I went to a concert friday and it was fabulous. Some might recall that last year I wanted to see Jakalope and so spent an hour outside waiting to do so. This did not occur, bringing me sadness.

Fast forward to friday. I was relaxing after a bit of moving in my new roommate and telling my friends I was too busy to go play Starcraft when I got a message from my brother. "I went and saw Jakalope yesterday" said he. "Katie was great... you should go see them; I believe they are in Edmonton tonight!" He refers to Jakalope as "Katie" because she, the singer, went to Red Deer College with him. They are "crew."

Since I had waited last year I was hesitant to go through all that again (especially since it was half an hour before concert time). However, this year the concert was at an outdoor venue so there was really no way I would miss the show. This combined with my earlier comments that I wanted to go to more shows and the fact I wanted to see if I recognized this "Katie" prompted me to go.

Best concert I have been to in a while, performance-wise. If the audience had any energy (instead of just standing around) it would have given Disturbed a run for their money. For your approval, I offer these pictures of the event. Please note the hot bassist; had my brother informed me thereof I wouldn't have taken half as long to decide to go... that's the way I roll. So that I seem less shallow also notice her awesome-looking basses... lust-worthy indeed.

No, I wasn't invited to the after party. She and I did however chat a bit... apparantly my brother is a great guy; once a rock star says something it must be true.
