Well then. I, like Misguided, convocated just a short while ago. Do I feel different? Other than a bit worse about having had no success progressing in my field, no. Emo++;
In other news I finally have a project that I'm working on and it delights me. I have at least one friend who is likely laughing his ass off that my first project is in java, but I guess you use what is appropriate.
I also have been busy socializing the past while. Ironic that I've found myself to be rather a social fellow given my Computer Science choice. I continue to wonder if maybe I should have just gone with Psychology... I'll worry about that more next year when I could actually apply.
Now, for my rant. Something that has come up at work a lot lately is the idea of water on countertops. Now... to me this seems obvious; countertops should not be wet so any problem caused by water on them is because you are stupid. Pretty straight forward. Nonetheless, we have had at least 3 complaints about how when there is water on the counter it goes down around the edge of the sink. No shit.
It is times like this that it is fortunate I am not team leader or else a lot more violence would occur. Since I can't say it there, it gets put here. To those of you who have friends who are considering telling a maintenance person to seal their sink because they can't control their liquids:
Friends don't let friends piss off maintenance people. Especially not if they live at the University of Alberta.

And for the record, I didn't piss off any maintenance people when I lived in HUB... although they made me hella mad. Especially the one guy I couldn't understand. You know the one...
