it's really cold outside.
i mean. really. unbelieveably cold.
i do not want to go home,
because there is outside between here and home.
therefore,
home is no longer reachable until may.
well, i've always wanted to move into the library...

Yes, I did Stage and Film at Vassar. (They don't do film anymore but kept the name.) I was an electrics intern two summers ago, and am considering applying for a staff position this summer. To be an intern (which means primarily either working as a technician or office staff costs nothing except your personal costs for food, and cable or air conditioning if you are dependant upon such things. Room is provided, just no food (excepting some parties). There is also an apprentice program which is directed more towards actors and playwrights, although the apprentices assist the interns with loadins, strikes, etc. and I believe can elect to spend more time in the tech discipline of their choice. Not positive on that. The colleges internet connection (T1 I believe) is free, and just needs the appropriate cable. There is both pool and gym access, and roughly a 10 minute walk to two delis, some bars, some restaurants. I don't recall needing any specialized software. I found it to be lots of hard work, but a very positive experience. I work in New York now (in lighting), and it was a good final more practical learning opportunity before moving here. There is generally at the very least a personal Q and A with the designers, and some directors, playwrights and actors. Here is a link I found regarding the apprentice program. This program I believe costs money, I don't know how much, but here it is, and you could probably email someone on it to find out about the intern program if that is what you are more interested in.
Right Heah.
