That's an awesome idea, and you'll have a blast. When I graduated, I hitched for about 2 months. I traveled down the coast until I finally reached a friends house in Melbourne Florida, and then back. I met some really awesome people, and genuinely feared for my life a few times, but it was exciting and unpredictable the whole time.
