I lived in San Diego many years ago and the first chance I had to see another country was crossing into Baja to see those gorgeous sandy beaches. Hopefully someday I will see Mexico for real and further. Your pictures are wonderful, thanks for sharing.

I also have a rescue dog who is sick.  She has a degenerative nerve disease.  I don't know how long she will be here.  It hurts me to see her struggle to walk, but she still loves her treats and to lay with me on the couch and watch movies.  I try to give her as much love as possible every day while I can.  I hope that Ganjah can still be with you for a long time.  I hope that knowing you gave her many years of a good life that she almost did not have will help you through the tough times.  A dog's love is truly unconditional love, and she knows that you have given that same love to her.
