Oh my GOD I pwn at FIFA '07. you should have seen me play! my buddies and I are doing a 4 player tournament and each of us has chosen a good team and a small time team, of which I chose Lyon (French professional team) and Falkirk (Scottish minor team). We've played a few games so far and right now, Lyon is undefeated with only 1 tie and they're going strong, and Falkirk is struggling but not last. Tonight I just got exponentially better somehow. first game, my team Falkirk was pitted against the Visigoths. This team is comprised of all the best players in the SPORT and is ranked as a 5 star team in the game. Of the player averages from 1 to 100 they don't have a single player with an average below 83. standard teams will have between 55 and 75 for each player. Falkirk's best striker is ranked 71. Falkirk is a 2 and a half star team. Nothing spectacular. Usually makes lots of mistakes. Sometimes the players like to stare blankly at the ball. Most of my players ar in the 60's and the Visigoths are sporting Wayne Rooney who is the best striker in the world with an average of 91. the have Ronaldinho, the best ball handler in the world and the best midfielder in the world with an average of 89. Their goalie has an average of 92. The man is a friggin wall. This is like pitting the New York Yankees against the Round Rock Express. They're not even in the same league. by the law of averages the game should have been Visigoths 7 - Falkirk 0. Not tonight. My first strike was close. It bounced off the post and the keeper got it. my second attack within minutes made the first goal of the game. I was way outside the box and surrounded by defenders but somehow it was aimed well and the keeper was way too far outside the goal to do anything about it. then I scored again within 15 minutes of the start of the game. A beautiful shot agian from way out with just enough of a bend to evade the keepers hands. Everyone in the room was stunned and finally Joey started picking up the slack but I was doing some beautiful footwork and intricate passing and I wasn't afraid to do some slide tackles. he pulled it up 3 - 2 against me before I struck this AMAZING header that pelted right into the corner of the goal. 3 -3. I ended up fouling him near my goal which gave Rooney a beautiful free kick right into the top left corner of the goal and they popped up 4 - 3. I came back with a beautiful crossover with my striker Gow, and tied it up AGAIN. Rooney comes plowing back and hammers one in on me giving us 5 - 4 with like 10 minutes left in the game. Right as the clock hit 86 minutes I pull one of my guys up high on the wing and do this beautiful backward pass to Gow who tucks it away on the other side of the goal. Not a keeper in the world could have stopped that one. We ended up tied 5 -5 and I had led the game within the first 15 minutes. My random little nobody scottish team had TIED the best team in the world. My next game was a cakewalk. Lyon demolished the New England Revolution 6 - 0. It was the same type of game that the last one should have been and I totally dominated it. It was crazy! well... I'm done ranting about my soccer exploits.
