Calling the lawyer tomorrow to take my case! One thing down a millabillion more to go. BYC is up and running except for a few pitfalls along the way. Now I am going to take a minute to bitch about the social network of the art world. Everyone is kissing someone else's ass in order to get a head or appease the higher ups in the hopes that they will be recognized. Seriously, it doesn't end. You have to know your place and know the right people and work off of that. I hate it! I really suck at this and feel like I need to suck it up and just.....well kiss ass in a non-ass kisser way. I've never been one who set out to make someone like me in order to get further along and now I feel like I HAVE to or be left cold and jobless behind the rest of the pack. Egh, it just gives me knots in my stomach.
In new news, I'm trying to go to Beijing for a couple weeks this summer. I'll know more information tomorrow, but how fucking sweet! Beijing and art, beautiful. I guess the art world is booming there and supplies and studios are mega cheap. We'll see what happens.
Boy news: He's so amazingly awesome and almost killed a mouse for me. I swear I thought this thing was the size of a raccoon from the sounds of it and he got out of the warm bed to take care of it so that I wasn't freaking out anymore. I didn't think I would be one of those people, you know, the ones that scream over things like mice. Well I found out, I am.
Yeah, remember that freaky shit? Twelve hundred awesome points if you can name the movie/book (oh now that's a hint).
Friend news: My friends fucking rock hard and I feel so lucky to have such awesome people around me that are as crazy as I. Also they love halfjack which makes me all smiley. Also, one of my friends is going to try and make "Free Girlysound" T-shirts to support my fucking RIAA ways. I thought this was pretty rad considering the circumstances.
I watched Purple Rain for the first time EVER! Can you believe it, I swear it should have been one of my favorite movies for a life time but only now do I know the majestic qualities of such a flim.
Speaking of films we watched Inferno for class today and I highly recommend you netflix or whatever you kids do and check it out! If you love David Lynch and/or German expressionist films than this movie screams your name. Screams.
