hello all!
woo, what a weekend! these guys, these guys, these guys and these guys were all ripping up melbourne, i could hardly ask for better company!
the show on sat night had all these bands plus carl's band no idea. the guitarist has some fucked-up nerve damage paralyzing his right arm for a few weeks now. but as this was one show that simply could not be cancelled, a rotating roster of 6 guitarists filled in for the set, it was absolutely spectacular! they were jostling for songs, so cute! how fortunate that no idea have been a punk rock institution in melbourne for 10 years now
also got to hang out with everyone from spent shells, as well as the awesome loz from wollongong and one of my favourite ladies of all time, the delicious danni

not quite right got in on the gig cos they invited the disables to tour in new zealand a few months back and the boys returned the gesture. they played modern hardcore punk - sounded like strike anywhere, against me!, good riddance. i'm not usually so turned on by this style but this band were fantastic. picked up their cd on the night and i'm loving it. got to hang out with them all too briefly and they are lovely fellas too. so check them out and show some love!
it was the first time in nearly a year i have seen the disables from elsewhere than behind the merch desk and it went off! i got to dance and slam right up the front, hooray! same for sc trash and no idea, i just can't express what a good time was had
sunday morning was slow to start, but only too soon all our interstate visitors had to pack up and drive off in their vans, only to promptly ring the house with lists of all the stuff they had forgotton, heehee!
and while saying goodbye is always sad... we do it all again in 2 weeks for wasted, yippee! i get to see my favourite band the black market, the most ace fellas from run for cover, the corps from sydney and of course fever from WA with her man's band the homocides!
