today is the day i update 
i have been loving interacting on the site and 'meeting' people. i will actually meet the lovely fever when she is in my town next month! (note to fever - am still waiting to hear back from amy regarding work placement for you!)
my beautiful partner is in north queensland spending time with his sister and her family, something he really needed to do. i will see him tomorrow after 10 days of not. i noted that i did not miss him terribly with some concern, especially remembering that i didn't think about him much when i was away in queensland last month. but i think it is a sign of my personal and our relationship's increasing maturity. if i continue to feel somewhat detached when he returns i will be quite alarmed. we are heading toward two years together and i hope for many more years as a couple after that.
i had a day off work today and went there anyway for vegan lunch with my excellent friend kylie, show her the store and do my shopping. i bought up big and she got nothing, ha! when we got home we made a vegan berry un-cheesecake for my de facto brother-in-law's birthday today... even though he has plenty of leftover food from his party friday night.
i stayed home friday and looked after my gorgeous six-month-old twin nieces these two girls' arrival into my life made me discover just how deeply i am able to love another being, and it is so much more than i ever imagined. my sis, her man and the babies are staying at my house for the past and next few weeks and i am loving it 
i am thinking of applying for
this degree. i couldn't make the campus open day but a lovely workmate of mine studies there and is amped to take me on a personal tour, how fortunate! we should be able to hook that up in the next few weeks so i can see the place before i apply. i was enrolled in a nursing degree at the beginning of this year and realised i am just not ready for that career yet, but i have been longing to return to school since i left.
that be all for now. when the boy returns he is bringing a new digital camera with him, which means my next journal entry will be filled with pictures, yay!
