some ideas for master's thesis blah de blah:

*return to discussion of interactions between music and ecsatic religious experience
*concepts of 3rd gender in modern society
* bar culture, language and human interaction
* zen and american culture ( the "new"zen" and modern american spiritual crisis

aaargh. my brain hurts, tooo many avenues to explore. it was all so cut and dry with plain ole comparitive religious study. but all this anthro throws monkey wrenches into my schemes... suddenly instead of studying a specific religion and texts, i'm supposed to study about PEOPLE who are into a given religious area.
and here i am into ideas, and not so much the people.
sooo... maybe i should study sexual identity kinda stuff, because that people stuff of endless fascination.
and then work on another masters in east asian religion some other time?
