my 56 hour work week is officially over. and i'm exhausted. i worked for 12 hours today, and i seriously almost fell asleep within the first hour of work. i worked with katie, who is the new employee and who is seriously amazing and sweet.
also, i caught a shoplifter trying to crawl, yes CRAWL LIKE A BABY behind a display case and steal some pipes. it's funny that i'm straight edge and work at a place that sells glassware. anyway, katie yelled "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING SIR???" and darted across the store, while i blocked the door. he was all "uhh, i dropped my phone," and i was all "that's bullshit." as katie told him to leave the store, i stopped him at the door and, with my best bad-ass voice and poker face i could muster, i said "just where the fuck do you think you're going? EMPTY YOUR FUCKING POCKETS." he stood, mouth gaping, removing receipts and change from his pockets. when it was obvious that he got caught before he took anything, i looked him dead in the eye and told him to never come back or i was calling the cops. he and his friend ran out, across the street and into the drugstore parking lot. that afternoon i played handyman and put four locks onto all the doors to the case.
other than taking care of business on shoplifters, this week i was responsible for a nearly $10,000 sale to jockey international. i also went to six flags yesterday with everyone from one of my jobs, and rode a ton of roller coasters and a carousel, while eating candy because apparently i'm five. it rained the entire last hour in the park, and we were soaked. but katie and i had so much fun, making fun of teenagers, eating terrible food, screaming our heads off and laughing hysterically. it was the most fun i've had in a while.
i have my first day off in nearly a month tomorrow, and i'm turning my phone off and waking up whenever i feel like, which is heaven to me. then, i'm going to put my paychecks in the bank, finally buy groceries (my fridge is all condiments right now), and see religulous with a friend. maybe i'll even do dishes. but probably not.
oh, and i also have a crush on rich sommer from mad men. okay, maybe i have a crush on the entire cast of mad men.

lol i tend to do 60 plus.....well....till i get laid off next month...

yup. no one can get financing to build things so work has slow. gonna go from like 600 to 800 a week to 350 on unemployment.
