So I'm getting my Ph.D at Berkeley. It's kind of boring except to me and my advisor, but we think it's fascinating. Basically the premise is what happens if a human psyche is confronted by pure evil unmitigated by a human agent?
I mean, people can do good things and evil things, but we can always rationalize the person as being "evil" or "good". The problem is, do these terms really apply to people? As animals, born with instincts, blessed with rational thought, and then conditioned by surrounding behavior, can a human really be evil or good?
My thesis is more about the concept of angels and demons. The exaltation or posession of a supernatural being from heaven or hell.
So, anyway, whatever. Most people think I'm crazy, but it makes for good bar conversation. Hopefully my book will sell well if I ad a bunch of shit about the Catholic church and the Templar Knights and some sort of treasure....

Hmmmm I don't know anything about Kabbalah in a scholastic sense, but I don't think she's claiming any sort of scholastic validity, if you will. I don't know enough about physics or psychology either to know how accurate or off she is, but with that said, I think the connections she makes and the ideas she's talking about are extremely fascinating.
I have like a zillion records and I just can't seem to let vinyl go. I still listen to my original White Album, with all of it's scratches and skips in preference to the cd version.
