Today I have to go to county jail and tell a woman who has been in the US since she was 3 years old that there is nothing I can do to help her and that she can either accept voluntary departure or be deported. I've seen people after they've been told that they can adjust status and become LPRs; this is going to be the complete opposite. I'm not looking forward to it.
Last night I went to JumpStart's Works-In-Progress/Wednesdays-In-Performance to see St. Lorraine; I learned that I don't know shit about dance. I didn't realize the depth of my lack of knowledge until the Q&A session after each performance, in which the audience made comments and asked questions. There was a ton of stuff happening in those performances that went completely over my head. The performances, especially by this dance company from Austin, blew me away. I still have no idea what the hell was happening, but it was very impressive.
Oh.....and brownies. I made brownies.
