The hats arrived on Friday. I'm a little upset about the grey one. I'm going to have to replace the veil because it's ripped in several places. I don't expect a vintage item to be in absolute mint condition, but I do expect some mention of something like that. Still happy, though!!!
Here's a preview.
More millinery can be found in my pics.
If you look closely, you can see all my chickenpock scars! (That's what you get for telling a 4 year old not to scratch--NOTHING but insubordination). I'll give you five dollars if you can find the nice scar left by a dog when I was 3 years old. I've never been self-conscious about it, but lately, since getting a 5.0 megapixel camera that will document every one of your flaws, I've noticed how much it has become a part of my expression. In profile, it makes me look sad, I think.
Because this is something that has always fascinated me, tell me about your best scar.

yes, it's in the commentary. she talks about her experiences reaffirming her faith in god. and that god has found a way to use her. that is great, if that's her experience and that's how she chooses to interpret it, whatever helps you make sense of an often senseless situation. i however, like to believe that my time in africa reaffirmed my faith in humanity.
looks like it should be quite fun though :]
