♥ I've been deathly allergic to peanuts (and all other nuts) since I was a kid, so I always felt I was missing out on something not being able to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. So I bought this new-fangled thing: peabutter. I'm eating it now. It's not bad, but--Jesus! How do you deal with this stickiness? I'm just eating it on a bagel. Any other suggestions?
♥ I was the technician for a conference on diaspora studies over the weekend. Three things I've learned: no one thinks they belong in diaspora studies (ha! ha!), Bob Dylan's Bootleg Volume 5 is amazing, and Bringing It All Back Home is my new favourite Bob Dylan album.
♥ If you haven't seen Assault on Precinct 13 (the original) see it. Best (and worst) 90 minutes you'll ever spend. I don't much care for the casting of the remake, though. We were hoping for Samuel L. Jackson, Luis Guzman, Ving Rames, and Larry David as the father.
